Who Will Be India's Flag Bearer At Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony? All You Need To Know

Two-time Olympic medalists PR Sreejesh and Manu Bhaker have been chosen as India's flag bearers for the Parade of Nations during the closing ceremony.

The 2024 Paris Olympics will wrap up with a star-studded closing ceremony after three weeks of exciting sports. The event is scheduled to take place at the Stade de France on the morning of Monday, August 12 (IST).

The closing ceremony will be held in traditional style at the Stade de France, with 80,000 spectators in attendance. The ceremony, scheduled to start from 12:30 AM IST (Indian Time) onwards, will celebrate the achievements of the athletes.

Who Will Be India's Flag Bearer At Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony? 

Two-time Olympic medalists PR Sreejesh and Manu Bhaker have been chosen as India's flag bearers for the Parade of Nations during the closing ceremony.

Haryana's Manu Bhaker won a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol event and another bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh. She made history as the first Indian athlete in independent India to win two medals at the same edition of the Games.

'Wall of India' PR Sreejesh retired from hockey on a high note with India's bronze medal win at 2024 Paris Olympics. India defeated Spain 2-1 in the bronze medal match, with goalkeeper Sreejesh excelling by blocking numerous Spanish attempts.

Sreejesh's exceptional goalkeeping during the shoot-out in the quarterfinal match against Great Britain helped the Indian team, which was playing with 10 players, beat Britain and secure their place in the semifinals.

India's performance at Paris Olympics 2024 

With its largest-ever contingent of 117 athletes, India was unable to match its medal tally from Tokyo Olympics. This edition saw India win six medals, compared to seven in Tokyo three years ago, which remains the country's best-ever Olympic medal haul.
