New Delhi: Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who won a gold medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics, penned down an emotional note as he takes his parents for their first flight.
"A small dream of mine came true today as I was able to take my parents on their first flight, Today a dream of life was fulfilled when I found my parents sitting on the flight for the first time. Will always be grateful for everyone's prayers and blessings," the Indian Olympic Gold winner writes on his official Instagram account.

Neeraj made history by winning a gold medal in Javelin Throwing at the Tokyo Olympics. He won his first-ever Olympic medal for India in Track and Field Athletics. India won 7 medals at the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics with the best ever performance. He won 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals. After 41 years, the Indian men's hockey team created history by winning a bronze medal.
Neeraj also became the second-ranked athlete in the world in Javelin Throw after winning the gold medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020. Before the beginning of the Olympics, Neeraj's rank was 16 with 1224 points. After the Olympics, Neeraj's score has gone up to 1315 points and he secured the second rank in Javelin. The rankings are issued by World Athletics.
The next Olympics will now be held in the French capital of Paris in 2024.
