Paris: Rafel Nadal and Diego Schwartzman go head to head in the quarter-final of the French Open 2021. Previously, the two have met in 11 matches where Rafa has won 10 out of them. Schwartzman's latest and the only win against Rafa came on clay in 2020 (although not in a grand slam). Nadal won the first set 6-3. 

The Argentine must be looking to improve his record against the 13-time champion. The King of Clay is in quest of his 21st grand-slam title. This will make him the one with the highest number of grand slams in men's tennis. 

The formation of players in their respective rounds is such that all the three major stars - Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer were in the same quarter, thus there are all chances that we will see a Nadal vs Djokovic semi-final in the Roland Garros. Nadal defeated Siner in straight sets in the previous round. 

Unfortuately, Roger Federer opted out of the tournament after his 3rd round victory due to multiple knee injuries. He informed about the same in a tweet. Roger Federer tweeted: "After two knee surgeries and over a year of rehabilitation it's important that I listen to my body and make sure I don't push myself too quickly on my road to recovery. I am thrilled to have gotten three matches under my belt. There is no greater feeling than getting back on the court. See you, everyone, soon!"
