Home favourite Pegula will be coming off the semifinal victory over Karolina Muchova and on the other hand, Sabalenka will come into the championship finals after defeating Emma Navarro in the semis.

First-time finalist and 6th-seeded Pegula has enjoyed a fairytale run in the tournament, taking down world number 1 Iga Swiatek on her path to the final. What stands in her way to the championship is Sabalenka, a two-time US Open finalist who, after her defeat to Coco Gauff in the 2023 final, is eager to finally claim the title this year.
