WATCH: Wriddhiman Saha Rushes Out Wearing Trousers In Reverse, Leaves Teammates In Splits In GT vs LSG
In a hurry to join his teammates, Saha walked out to field against Lucknow Super Giants but didn't realise that he was wearing the trousers the other way round.
Even though the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches seen some riveting action between the two teams and players losing their cool in the heat of the moment, during Gujarat Titan's win over Lucknow Super Giants, a rather hilarious incident left cricketers in splits. The incident happened after the players had taken the field for LSG's run chase.
However, GT seemed to be waiting for one of their players. It was later understood that Gujarat were waiting for their wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha who hadn't turned up yet. Notably, the stumper had played a knock of 81 off 43 and was late while the rest of his teammates had already taken the field.
In a hurry to join his teammates, Saha walked out to field against Lucknow Super Giants but didn't realise that he was wearing the trousers the other way round with the name of the sponsors reflecting on the back side rather than the front pockets. The sight of Saha in those trousers left his captain Hardik Pandya and pacer Wriddhiman Saha among others in splits. A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media.

Talking about the match, GT eventually registered a thumping 56-run win over LSG at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Riding on Saha's innings coupled with an unbeaten 94 off 51 by Shubman Gill, Gujarat posted a mammoth 227/2. In response, LSG's Quntion de Kock playing his first match of the season scored 70 off 41 and Kyle Mayers scored 48 from 32 balls but none of the batters could bat at the same temp and LSG could only muster 171/7 despite a flying start by their openers. The win means GT continue to be at the top of the IPL 2023 points table with 16 points.
