Virat Kohli Writes To BCCI Officials After On-Field Fight With Naveen-ul-Haq, Gautam Gambhir In IPL 2023: Report

In a recent report by the leading Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, Virat Kohli has reached out to BCCI officials and explained the situation.

On Monday, one of the biggest controversies transpired when Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were engaged in a war of words after the game between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore ended. Post the incident, many videos and pictures went viral and a lot of talks have been going around.

As a result, both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have been fined 100% of their match fees, and ever since the incident took place, a lot of things have been reported. In a recent report by the leading Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, Virat Kohli has reached out to BCCI officials and explained the situation. As per the report, the former India skipper was disappointed after he was fined  100% of his match fees.

However, since Virat and Gautam come from Delhi, they have played a lot of cricket together. Both of them were very close to each other and shared a healthy bond. Gambhir even gave his man-of-the-match award to Kohli, who made his maiden century and helped India win the match by seven wickets against  Sri Lanka in an ODI match at the Eden Gardens.

Talking about the incident in a detailed manner, the RCB stalwart was as usual aggressively celebrated during the  LSG-RCB clash and he had a heated argument with LSG’s pacer Naveen-ul-Haq and Kyle Mayers. It has also been reported that all this drama took place because of Mohammed Siraj's bouncers and throws that were aimed at Naveen. The Afghani pacer went berserk after back-to-back bouncers and throws which Kohli had told Siraj to bowl. But then Kohli refused and said that he has not asked Siraj to target Naveen instead only told him to bowl bouncers.

Post the game, again Virat and Naveen had an ugly spat and the former India skipper reportedly complained about Naveen.
