'Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai'- Suresh Raina On MS Dhoni's Acrobatic Diving Catch In CSK vs GT

Suresh Raina was all praise for CSK wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni who pulled off a sensational catch behind the stumps to get rid of GT's Vijay Shankar.

MS Dhoni might not have had the opportunity to bat so far in the seventeenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) but his performance behind the stumps with gloves has been nothing short of exemplary. During the Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) home match against Gujarat Titans (GT), Dhoni grabbed a sensational acrobatic age-defying diving catch off the ball of Daryl Mitchell to get rid of Vijay Shankar.

His effort from behind the stumps was enough for the crowd at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai to go berserk, with a video of his effort also shared by both this franchise and the IPL's official handle. Soon after the catch from the five-time tournament winning captain, Dhoni's former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina heaped praises on the stumper saying: 'Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai' (The Tiger is still alive).

CSK Register Second Win On The Trot In IPL 2024

The defending champions have got off to a perfect start in IPL 2024 as well, having won each of their first two matches. While they beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2024 opener, they handed GT a 63-run defeat on Tuesday (March 26). After being asked to bat first, the Men in Yellow posted a massive 206/6 in their 20 overs before restricting GT to 143/8. Shivam Dube scored 51 off 23 balls to take Chennai to a total which eventually proved outside reach of the Shubman Gill-led side.

With the ball in hand, Tushar Deshpande emerged as the pick of the bowlers for CSK, finishing with figures of 2/21 off his four overs while Deepak Chahar (2/28) and Mustafizur Rahman (2/30) were also impressive. As a result of the win, CSK find themselves at the top of the IPL 2024 points table.
