Ravindra Jadeja's Dismissal During CSK vs RR IPL 2024 Match Leaves Sakshi Dhoni Shocked- WATCH

Ravindra Jadeja's 'obstructing the field' dismissal during the CSK vs RR IPL 2024 match leaves fans and Sakshi Dhoni shocked.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by five wickets in the 61st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2024, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. With the win, CSK have strengthened their chances of qualifying to the IPL 2024 playoffs as they now have 14 points in 13 matches. An intriguing moment unfolded during the CSK vs RR match, drawing the attention of many, including Sakshi Dhoni, wife of MS Dhoni. The incident involved Ravindra Jadeja and added an extra layer of interest to the game.

In the 16th over of CSK's run chase, Ravindra Jadeja played the ball delivered by RR’s Avesh Khan to third-man, getting a comfortable single. However, halfway through attempting another run, he was asked to turn back by Ruturaj Gaikwad from the other end. As Sanju Samson received the throw from the fielder, he aimed at the stumps on the non-striker's end, inadvertently hitting Jadeja, who was scrambling to return to the crease.

Following an on-field review, the third umpire concluded that Jadeja changed his course deliberately while running, resulting in his dismissal for 'obstructing the field', in the favor of RR. The decision left the CSK crowd astonished, and the reaction of Sakshi Dhoni, MS Dhoni's wife, from the stands quickly gained widespread attention on social media. In the video doing rounds, Sakshi can be seen holding her head with both hands in shock.
