MI vs DC, IPL 2020 Final: How Much Prize Money Will IPL Winner, Runners-Up Pocket?

MI vs DC, IPL 2020 Prize Money: The winning team of MI vs DC IPL 2020 Final is going to get Rs 10 crore due to the strict cost-cutting measures taken by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) amid Coronavirus pandemic. This year, BCCI has halved the prize money and that's why the IPL 2020 winner will be given Rs 10 crore instead of Rs 20 crore, while the losing team will now get only Rs 6.25 crore instead of 12 and a half crore.

IPL 2020 Prize Money: The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) is being played in the United Arab Emirates. There is only one match left this season. This is not just any ordinary match but the 'battle of the titans', as the final match of IPL 2020 is being played between heavyweights Mumbai Indians and first-time finalists Delhi Capitals, which is being played on Tuesday at Dubai International Stadium today.

The team winning the Grand Finale is going to get a huge prize money! However, compared to last year, the prize money is less for the winners of IPL 2020. The final match of IPL 2020 will be played between the four-time champion Mumbai Indians and first-time finalists Delhi Capitals.

IPL 2020 Prize Money: How Much Prize Money Will The IPL 13 Winner Get?
The winning team of MI vs DC IPL 2020 Final is going to get Rs 10 crore due to the strict cost-cutting measures taken by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) amid Coronavirus pandemic. This year, BCCI has halved the prize money and that's why the IPL 2020 winner will be given Rs 10 crore instead of Rs 20 crore, while the losing team will now get only Rs 6.25 crore instead of 12 and a half crore.
Mumbai Indians, who won the IPL title for the year 2019, got Rs 20 crore after winning the tournament and the runners-up Chennai Super Kings got Rs 12 crore and a half, but this time the amount has been halved. The winning team will get a check of Rs 10 crore, while the losing team will be provided a check of Rs 6 crore.
David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad, who got knocked out of the tournament after losing in IPL 2020 Qualifier 2 in the playoffs, and Royal Challengers Bangalore, who were eliminated after losing in the IPL 2020 Eliminator, are going to get Rs 4.375-4.375 crore as reward.
Why did the BCCI decide to reduce the IPL 2020 Prize Money?
Significantly, due to the Coronavirus epidemic, BCCI started cost-cutting in March itself and the decision to lessen the prize money is part of that. According to the BCCI, the financial condition of all the franchises is good. There are many ways to increase their income, such as sponsorship, so the apex board decided to reduce the prize money.
