Maheesh Theekshana marriage: Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana recently tied the knot, sharing wedding pictures on social media that have gone viral.

Theekshana was bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Rs 70 lakh before IPL 2022 and played for them in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. However, ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, he was acquired by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 4.4 crore in the mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Maheesh Theekshana's IPL career

In his IPL career, Maheesh Theekshana has played 27 matches, taking 25 wickets at an average of 31.88 and an economy rate of 7.66, with his best performance being 4/33. He etched his name in history as the seventh Sri Lankan bowler to claim an ODI hat-trick.

Theekshana achieved this milestone by dismissing Mitchell Santner, Nathan Smith, and Matt Henry over the course of two overs, finishing with figures of 4 wickets for 44 runs in his 8-over spell.

Theekshana has also been a key figure for Sri Lanka in international cricket, with 58 wickets from 60 T20Is at an average of 26.56 and an economy of 6.87. He has taken 72 wickets in 50 ODIs and 5 wickets in 2 Tests.
