With the annual tournament slated to occur in April this year, all the eight IPL franchises are locking up in the IPL Auction 2021 Chennai on Thursday to prepare the best squad for the upcoming season. The IPL Auction 2021 will take place in Chennai at 3 pm IST. The live streaming of the annual event will take place on Hotstar while it will be broadcasted live also on Star Sports.
A total of 292 players will go under the hammer, out of which 164 are Indian and 125 are overseas while three players are from associate nations. With 53.20 crore in the kitty, the 'Punjab Kings' have the highest purse in the auction. The RCB has 11 vacancies to fill which is the most in this years auction with 35.4 crore remaining.
