Sanjeev Goenka's Special Message For Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Goenka, though on the opposing side, couldn't hold back his appreciation for RR's 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

Lucknow Super Giants have broken into the top-4 of the IPL 2025 points table after a close win over Rajasthan Royals, overtaking RCB in the standings.

LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka was visibly elated with the win. Known for his passionate involvement, Goenka is often spotted in the stands cheering on the players - sometimes stern in defeat, but this time all smiles after a memorable win.

Adding to the moment was the impressive debut of 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made his first IPL appearance for Rajasthan Royals in the same match.

Goenka Applauds Vaibhav Suryavanshi's Fearless Debut

Goenka, though on the opposing side, couldn't hold back his appreciation for the new RR star. After the game, he took to social media to praise the youngster, along with key performers from his own team.

In his post, Goenka congratulated LSG captain Rishabh Pant and standout players like Abdul Samad, Avesh Khan, and Aiden Markram. He also gave a special shout-out to RR's Vaibhav, writing: “What a debut by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a prodigy and future superstar. Wishing you continued success.”

Later, a photo of Goenka interacting with Vaibhav warmly after the match also went viral.

Vaibhav made a mark in his debut, scoring 34 runs off just 20 balls, including 3 sixes and 2 fours. He even smashed a massive six off Shardul Thakur on his very first IPL delivery.

Though he couldn't complete a half-century and walked off looking emotional after getting out, the young batter's fearless innings has already won hearts. He now holds the record as the youngest player to debut in the history of the IPL.

Despite Rajasthan's narrow 2-run loss, the match will be remembered for Vaibhav's spirited debut.
