The final showdown is set for June 3 in Ahmedabad, but the fight is not just for glory. There's a hefty prize purse awaiting the champions.

How much prize money will the winners get?

If the trend continues, IPL 2025 winners will take home INR 20 crore, while the runners-up are expected to receive INR 13 crore. This has been the standard payout since 2022, and no changes have been announced so far.

IPL 2024 Winner (KKR): INR 20 crore

2024 Runner-up (SRH): INR 13 crore

2008–2009: Winner – INR 4.8 crore | Runner-up – INR 2.4 crore

2010–2013: Winner – INR 10 crore | Runner-up – INR 5 crore

2014–2015: Winner – INR 15 crore | Runner-up – INR 10 crore

2016: Winner – INR 16 crore | Runner-up – INR 10 crore

2017: Winner – INR 15 crore | Runner-up – INR 10 crore

2018–2019: Winner – INR 20 crore | Runner-up – INR 12.5 crore

2020 (Pandemic Year): Winner – INR 10 crore | Runner-up – INR 12.2 crore

IPL 2025 Playoffs Schedule

Qualifier 1 (Match between top two teams from league stage): Thursday, May 29, 2025 - New Chandigarh

Eliminator (3rd vs 4th placed teams) - Friday, May 30, 2025 - New Chandigarh

Qualifier 2 (Loser of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator)- Sunday, June 1, 2025 - Ahmedabad

Final (Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2) - Tuesday, June 3, 2025 - Ahmedabad

The playoff format pits the top two teams against each other in Qualifier 1, while the third and fourth placed teams face off in the Eliminator.

Top two teams on the points table - at end of league stage - will face off in Qualifier 1. The winner of this match directly books a spot in the final.

The teams finishing 3rd and 4th will clash in the Eliminator. The loser is knocked out of the tournament.

The loser of Qualifier 1 then gets a second chance and takes on the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2.

The winner of Qualifier 2 moves on to the final, setting up a clash with the winner of Qualifier 1.
