IPL 2025: Ignored In Mega Auction, These Bowlers Are Now Shining In SA20

IPL 2025: Have a look at bowlers who have dominated SA20 but were overlooked by IPL franchises in the mega auction.

The SA20 league in South Africa is approaching its final stages, with several players making a strong impact - especially those who were not widely recognized on the international stage.

Some of these performers were overlooked in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, yet they have proven their worth with outstanding displays in SA20. These players won't be able to show their skills in this year's IPL.

Have a look at two such bowlers who have dominated SA20 but were overlooked by IPL franchises.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman (Afghanistan)

Afghanistan's mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman, a familiar face in the Indian Premier League (IPL), was another big miss in the auction. Playing for Paarl Royals in SA20, he has taken 13 wickets in 8 matches with an economy rate of under 7 - an outstanding figure in T20 cricket. His performances have placed him among the leading wicket-takers of the season.

Richard Gleeson (England)

37-year-old senior fast bowler Richard Gleeson, who played for Chennai Super Kings last season, went unsold in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction. He got just two matches in last year's IPL, picking up one wicket. However, he has been exceptional in SA20, representing Sunrisers Eastern Cape. With 11 wickets in 8 matches, Gleeson is currently the third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.

Both Richard Gleeson and Mujeeb Ur Rahman were overlooked in the IPL 2025 auction. It will be interesting to see if these performances earn them a recall in future IPL seasons.
