A day earlier, he had shared a cryptic post about his ‘new role’ on his Facebook account, sparking curiosity among fans just weeks before the upcoming IPL season. The excitement is palpable for Dhoni's return to lead the team, particularly after the previous season where he guided CSK to their fifth IPL championship.

In the video clip, the 42-year-old Dhoni is portrayed in a double role, intensifying the anticipation ahead of the lucrative T20 league. Dhoni shared the advertisement video on his social media accounts, tagging Jio Cinema and stating, “New season, double role! All the action brought to you absolutely free with #IPLonJioCinema, starting 22nd March. Kyunki sab yahaan, aur kahaan!”

The post quickly went viral, sparking speculation among fans about what he was alluding to. The mystery persisted until Dhoni's subsequent Facebook post finally unveiled the revelations.

Excitement Around Upcoming IPL Season 2024

CSK kicked off their pre-season training camp on March 2 (Saturday), with the first group of players arriving in Chennai a day ahead of the scheduled training commencement. Notable players, including Deepak Chahar, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Simarjeet Singh and others, are part of the camp, gearing up for the challenges of the upcoming season. MS Dhoni touched down in Chennai on March 5, pictures and videos of which went viral on social media platforms.

CSK are poised to commence their IPL 2024 campaign with a high-stakes encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Despite guiding his team to five IPL titles, MS Dhoni has been absent from competitive cricket since their triumphant campaign last year.
