Abhishek Bachchan Jokes About Wife Aishwarya Being The Source Of His 'I Want To Talk' Stress

New Delhi: At the Showsha Reel Awards 2025, Abhishek Bachchan was named Best Actor for his outstanding performance in 'I Want to Talk', directed by Shoojit Sircar. During the event, the 49-year-old actor, who has been receiving high praise for his performances, shared a hilarious moment with presenter Arjun Kapoor.

Arjun Kapoor questioned Abhishek, whose "I want to talk" call stresses him. In a flash, Abhishek dropped hints that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, his wife, may be involved. 

"Tumhari shaadi nahi hui hai na abhi tak... jab ho jaayegi, you'll have an answer for that  (You are not married yet. Once you are, you'll have an answer for that)," Abhishek joked in response to Arjun's inquiry, causing the crowd to burst into laughter.

Abhishek’s witty response stemmed from the film's title, and it turned into a lighthearted moment between the two. 

Abhishek Bachchan’s Acceptance Speech

Abhishek received his first Best Actor award, and although the jokes were the main attraction, he also gave a moving acceptance speech. Thanking Shoojit Sircar, the film's director, and his co-stars, he said, “The credit for this performance has to go entirely to Shoojit da. He's made such a wonderful film. I'd like to share this with my wonderful daughters in the film, Ahilya and Pearl, who were just absolutely brilliant.”

Abhishek's portrayal in the touching father-daughter drama ‘Be Happy’ has garnered a lot of appreciation. The film, which stars Nassar, Nora Fatehi, and Inaayat Verma, is available to watch on Prime Video right now.

Talking about his personal life, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan tied the knot in April 2007. The couple welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan in November 2011. Rumours about their alleged separation have been swirling for a long time, but the pair has not yet acknowledged or refuted the divorce speculation.
