Uttarakhand CM Dhami Takes Part In 'Shastrotsav' At Patanjali University In Haridwar
Baba Ramdev stated that Sanskrit is not merely a language but possesses leadership capabilities across all fields. He highlighted Indian scriptures as the root of all knowledge and science.

Patanjali News: The 62nd All India Shastrotsav ceremony was organised at Patanjali University in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The state's Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, participated in the event. In his address, he stated that our scriptures are not merely books, but a means of understanding the mysteries of the universe.
CM Dhami explained that the roots of Indian culture and tradition lie in our ancient scriptures. These contain a treasure trove of knowledge in fields such as science, yoga, mathematics, medicine, and philosophy. He emphasised the need not only to preserve the research conducted by the sages but also to develop it in new ways. He also stated that this ceremony should be used to disseminate the knowledge of Sanskrit and scriptures to the nation and the world.
Need To Reinstate Indian Traditions: Ramdev
Patanjali University's Chancellor and yoga guru Baba Ramdev was also present on this occasion. He said, "Sanskrit is not just a language, but it has the capacity to provide leadership in any field across the globe. Sanātana Dharma and ancient Indian scriptures encompass all the knowledge and disciplines of the world."
Swami Ramdev, describing the All India Shastrotsav as a confluence of Sanskrit and culture, said that all the original languages originated from Sanskrit and we should all be proud of it. He stressed the need to promote the propagation of the Sanskrit language and to reinstate the Indian knowledge tradition.
Sanskrit Pride Of Indian Culture: Acharya Balkrishna
Patanjali University's vice-chancellor, Acharya Balkrishna, highlighted the importance of Sanskrit, describing it as being akin to a pilgrimage and calling it the pride of culture. He appealed to scholars and students from across the country to continue their efforts to spread the importance of Indian scriptures to the people.
Participants From 30 States Honoured
Uttarakhand's former Chief Minister and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ stated at the ceremony that Sanskrit contains all knowledge, science and technology. He mentioned the granting of the status of Rajbhasha to Sanskrit in Uttarakhand and the state's achievements in this field. Participants from 30 states were also honoured at this ceremony.
