'That’s A Great Question…I Don’t Know': Skipper Sanju Samson 'Clueless & Speechless' After RR's Shock Loss Vs SRH

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was clueless and speechless as to what to say at the post-match interview regarding his team's shocking loss to SRH.

Rajasthan Royals (214/2) required to defend 41 runs in final two overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (217/6) but their bowlers yet again messed up another defense. SRH's Glenn Philips hammered three maximums and a boundary in a row to bring the equation down to 17 needed of last 6 balls. Abdul Samad got a reprieve after his catch was dropped on the first ball of 20th over, then he hit Sandeep Sharma for a six with SRH needing 5 runs of last ball to win. Surprisingly, the senior RR bowler overstepped, bowling a huge no ball. Once again, Sandeep attempted a full length yorker but this time an under-pressure Samad launched a six over bowler's head for a flat, seal a memorable win. Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down their highest-ever total in IPL.

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was clueless and speechless as to what to say at the post-match interview regarding his team's shocking loss to SRH.

Responding to Nick Knight's question of 'should RR have scored more runs', a seemingly devastated Sanju Samson replied: "That’s a great question… I don’t know".

"This is what IPL gives you, matches like these makes the IPL special. You can never, never, never feel like you have won the game,” he said.

"I knew any opponent can win it and they were batting well too, but I was confident with Sandeep (defending the final over). He has won us a game from a similar situation (against CSK). He did it again today but that no-ball ruined our result. We played really well with the bat to put up that kind of a score on this wicket, but I think they batted really sensibly, credit has to go to them for the way they batted."

"But with the target which we posted, you can only feel happy once you win the game right, so not at all happy at the moment," he said.
