IPL 2023 was a season of ups and downs for RCB. There were some memorable and forgettable moments for the franchise and its players on the field. One such incident was the infamous 'Virat Kohli vs Gautam Gambhir' verbal banter, which took place during Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) league stage fixture on May 1.
During the match, RCB legend Virat Kohli was involved in a verbal spat with LSG pacer Naveen ul Haq one more than one occasion. After Bangalore defeated Lucknow by 18 runs, Virat was confronted by LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir, who decided to take a stand for his player. Things soon got pretty intense between the two Indian cricket legends as they were seperated by players and umpires of both teams.
Gambhir's Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) would have squared off against Virat's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) once again in IPL 2023 if RCB qualified for IPL 2023 Eliminator with a win over Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday (May 21). But sadly for fans who were waiting for the high-octane clash, that didn't happen. After RCB's defeat, LSG shared a cryptic tweet for their arch-rivals. "Give it? Take it? Let's leave it. Well fought, @RCBTweets. See you next season," LSG wrote.
