GT vs CSK: Gujarat Titans (GT) key player Kane Williamson unfortunately hurt his right knee while attempting to compete an 'almost impossible catch' to save the ball from going over the boundary rope for a six during Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Gujarat Titans (GT) IPL 2023 match on Friday (March 31) at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.

Kane Williamson almost completed the catch but somehow the ball popped out of his hand. His remarkable effort did save the six but things got a bit intense as Williamson had a bad landing. He could not get up once he was down. Soon after his horrific fall, GT's medical team was there to assist the Kiwi legend, who was then taken off the field. An official update on Kane's injury is awaited.

"It did not look good. I hope it is not too bad. We will have to find out about his status soon," Gujarat Titans (GT) coach Gary Kirstenn reportedly said on Kane Williamson’s injury.

Earlier, Gujarat's Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl against Chennai Super Kings. Chennai included Rajvardhan Hangargekar in their playing XI, giving him a chance to debut in the T20 league.
