How RR, SRH, CSK, DC, LSG, RCB And GT Can Qualify For IPL 2024 Playoffs

Check below how Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans can qualify for IPL 2024 Playoffs.

IPL 2024 Playoffs Qualification Scenario: KKR's qualification marks the first team to secure a spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs. With this development, seven teams are still in contention to secure the remaining three playoffs spots.

Let's have a look at how Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) can qualify for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Playoffs.

Rajasthan Royals (RR): Rajasthan Royals (16 points from 11 games), currently at second place in points table, can enter IPL 2024 playoffs if they win their remaining three group stage games against CSK (May 12), PBKS (May 15) and KKR (May 19). RR will end up as table-toppers if they win all their remaining three league stage matches with 22 points.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): Sunrisers Hyderabad (14 points from 12 games), currently at 3rd place in points table, will secure a playoff berth with 18 points if they win their remaining two games against GT (May 16) and PBKS (May 19).

Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Chennai Super Kings (12 points from 12 matches), currently at 4th place in points table, must win their remaining two league stage matches against RR (May 12) and RCB (May 18) and LSG and DC lose one of their remaining two games.

Delhi Capitals (DC): Delhi Capitals (12 points from 12 matches), currently at 5th place in points table, can secure a playoff berth if they beat RCB (May 12) and LSG (May 14) in their last two league stage matches and CSK fails to win in one of their remaining two league stage matches. If CSK wins both their league stage matches, they will require SRH to face defeat in their remaining two league stage matches.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG): Lucknow Super Giants (12 points from 12 matches), currently at 6th place in points table, can qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs if they beat Delhi Capitals (May 14) and Mumbai Indians (May 17) and CSK loses one of their final two league stage matches.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB): Royal Challengers Bengaluru (10 points from 12 matches), currently at 7th place in points table, can enter IPL 2024 playoffs if they beat DC (May 12) and CSK (May 18) by big margins; Mumbai defeats Lucknow on May 17 and GT fails to win at least one of their remaining two league stage matches. In this scenario, RCB, DC, LSG and CSK will end up with 14 points at the end of league stage and the team with better Net Run Rate (NRR) will enter the playoffs.

Gujarat Titans (GT): Gujarat Titans (10 points from 12 matches), currently at 8th place in points table, will make it to IPL 2024 playoffs if they beat KKR (May 13) and SRH (May 16) in their remaining two matches by big margins and RCB, DC, CSK and LSG all lose at least one of their remaining matches by big margins. In this scenario, GT, CSK, LSG and DC will end up with 14 points and Gujarat will end up at number 4 due to a better net run rate.

Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are already out of IPL 2024 playoffs race.
