GT vs CSK, IPL 2023 Final: Who Will Win IPL Final If Gujarat Vs Chennai Match In Ahmedabad Is Washed Out Due To Rain
If at all toss is held but the match doesn’t take place then the match will begin in a new 20-over per side match on Monday.
The high-octane IPL 2023 final is set to take place between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The last year's trophy holders Gujarat Titans will be looking to defend their title but in front of them is the CSK, who have sealed the IPL trophy four times, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. However, there is a cause for concern over the weather, as it rained heavily on Friday during Qualifier 2 between Gujarat Titans and Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians.
Heavy showers are expected to take place in Ahmedabad on Sunday evening. There are close to 40% chances of rain during the match hours in Ahmedabad, according to Accuweather. The temperature will be between 37 degrees Celsius at the start of the game and is expected to decrease to 32 degrees Celsius towards the end.
However, there is a reserve day (Monday) for the final of the IPL 2023, if a minimum of 5 overs per side could get completed in the match. But there are some factors that are to be noted.
If at all one ball is delivered on Sunday, the game will start where it was stopped earlier. If at all toss is held but the match doesn’t take place then the match will begin in a new 20-over per side match on Monday. The skippers will have the freedom to change their teams on the reserve day even if the toss happens again on the reserve day.
The game between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans will begin at 07:30 pm on Sunday at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Apart from being in the stadium, fans can enjoy it live on their television sets by tuning into Star Sports Network. They can even live stream the match on the Jio Cinema app and website for free.
