Australian Opener To Make A Splash In The Second Phase Of IPL 2021, Reveals On Social Media

Australia's legendary opener David Warner announced his participation in the second leg of IPL 2021 on Instagram.

IPL 2021: Australia's legendary opener and former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner will be seen playing the second phase of IPL 2021. Warner himself almost confirmed his play for Hyderabad in the second leg through his Instagram post.

Before Warner's announcement, cricketers from New Zealand, England, West Indies, and Bangladesh had agreed to play in the second leg of the IPL. After Warner's announcement, speculation swells that many more Australian big players may also be seen playing in the second leg of IPL 2021. The second phase of IPL 2021 will begin in the UAE from September 19.

David Warner's name has now been associated with those who have decided to play in the second leg of IPL 2021. Warner posted a picture on his Instagram account, confirming his play in IPL 2021, wearing his team Sunrisers jersey, and wrote in the caption "I will be back".

David Warner has been associated with Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2014. He has also won the IPL title for Hyderabad once under his captaincy. However, warner's batting was very slow in the first leg of IPL 2021 and he scored 193 runs in 6 matches with the help of two half-centuries. Warner's slow batting led to Hyderabad's defeat in several matches.

Warner was removed from the Hyderabad captaincy due to poor performance in the first leg and Kane Williamson was made the new captain. Now in the second leg of the IPL 2021 trying to forget the bitter memories of the past, Warner will start afresh and will try to win every match for the team.

By the end of the first phase, Sunrisers Hyderabad had played seven matches, losing 6 of them. The team is currently at the last position in the points table but will advance to the playoffs if Hyderabad wins the remaining matches.
