All 12 New Zealand Players Get NOC From Board To Play In IPL. Set To Miss Netherlands Series

12 players (playing in the IPL) have not been picked by NZC for the Netherlands home series, meaning the board does not have a problem with those 12 players playing in the tournament.

The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced a 12-member squad for the upcoming white-ball series against Netherlands, starting March 25. The series that includes three ODIs and a T20I coincides with the first few matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Twelve Kiwi players, including skipper Kane Williamson, are set to join the IPL from March 26. These 12 players have not been picked by NZC for the Netherlands home series, meaning the board does not have a problem with those 12 players playing in the IPL.

Michael Bracewell is named captain in Williamson's absence. Ross Taylor, who is set to retire later this year will also play in the ODI series against the Netherlands.

New Zealand Players that will take part in IPL 2022: Kane Williamson (SRH), Lockie Ferguson (GT), Trent Boult (RR), Adam Milne (CSK), Mitchell Santner (CSK), Tim Southee (KKR), James Neesham (RR), Glenn Phillips (SRH), Devon Conway (CSK), Finn Allen (RCB), Tim Seifert (DC), Daryl Mitchell (RR)

On the other hand, South African players will also miss the first match of the IPL and will further miss another couple of weeks if Cricket South Africa announces a full-strength squad for the Test series against Bangladesh. 

IPL will begin on March 26, 2022 and the final will be played on May 29, 2022.  A total of 70 league matches will be played across four international standard venues in Mumbai and Pune.
