'Wrong Number To Nahi?': Rajasthan Royals Troll Lucknow IPL Team's 'Unverified' Twitter Handle

The Lucknow team has named its official handle @TeamLucknowIPL on Twitter. A few tweets have also been made from the handle.

New Delhi: The year 2022 has finally arrived and with this the countdown of the much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) has also started. IPL 2022 mega auction is all set to start ahead of the 15th season.

For the first time ever, the tournament will see 10 teams participating. Lucknow and the Ahmedabad teams are two new teams that have been added to the IPL setup.

Lucknow team, the most expensive team of IPL, is engaged in full preparation. Lucknow has finally made an official handle on Twitter. All the updates related to the team will be shared via it.

However, whether this handle is official or not has not been confirmed as it is yet to get a verified blue tick.

On Tuesday, the Lucknow IPL team debuted on social media, Twitter and Instagram. The Lucknow team has named its official handle @TeamLucknowIPL on Twitter. A few tweets have also been made from the handle of the Lucknow team. One of their tweets read: “Welcome to the official Twitter profile of Lucknow IPL team.”

IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals was quick to take a friendly jibe at it and tweeted: “Kahi yeh wrong number toh nahi? (What if it’s a wrong number)”, doubting the authenticity of Lucknow team’s Twitter handle which currently doesn't have a verified blue tick.

The Lucknow team's twitter handle is not confirmed to be official as it is yet to receive a verified blue tick. Actually, the account was made in 2016 although there was no Lucknow team at that time.
