New Delhi: Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar has been part of Mumbai Indians squad for the last two years but is yet to make his debut for the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners. Mumbai Indians had bought Arjun Tendulkar for his base price of INR 30 lakh in the accelerated part of IPL 2022 mega auction. Mumbai Indians (MI) have played all their 14 matches in the league stage this season, but Arjun Tendulkar did not get a chance to play in a single game.
Mumbai played their last match of the season against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Saturday. Ahead of the match, Arjun had posted some visuals of him bowling to MI batters in the nets, giving rise to speculations that he might play his first-ever IPL match for MI. However, he wasn't picked in MI's playing XI against DC. Fans have to wait yet another season for Arjun's much-awaited debut.
Meanwhile, during MI vs DC match, Arjun was seen helping the players from the boundary, whether change of bats or for water. During this, Arjun's sister Sara recorded a video and posted it on her Instagram with the song 'Apna Time Aayega' from Bollywood movie Gully Boy.

Fans and cricket experts have suggested that MI should give Arjun his debut cap but ex-India batter Mohammad Kaif believes Mumbai Indians would have played him earlier if he was ready for the challenge.
“If MI felt Arjun Tendulkar was ready, they would have played him by now. I think they feel he still needs to work on his game. Why would a captain wait till the last game to try out a player? If he was good enough, he would have already been in the playing XI. I don’t think Rohit Sharma is a captain who would try out a player just because it is the last match. MI would want to go with their best combination and try to win this game," Kaif told Sportskeeda before Mumbai vs Delhi game.
