The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to begin from tomorrow with defending champions and five-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians set to face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Chennai.
The tournament has seen many many great knocks, some whirlwind hundreds and fiery cameos to light up the T20 tournament. Like every season, even this year, all teams will battle it out on the green turf in some intense games for the coveted IPL trophy.

In all the 13 seasons of IPL played so far, no Indian batsman has captured the Orange Cap more than once.
Overall, David Warner is the only player to have managed to win the Orange Cap three times, while Chris Gayle has attained this feat twice. There are only four Indian batsmen who have won the Orange Cap. Chris Gayle is the only batsman to have won two Orange Caps back-to-back.

The first-ever Orange Cap was won by Australian batsman Shaun Marsh, who scored 670 runs in 2008 while playing for Kings XI Punjab. Sachin Tendulkar, who scored 618 runs for Mumbai Indians in 2010, is the first Indian cricketer to win the Orange Cap.
