Neeraj Chopra Bows Down To India U-19 Team After Historic World Cup Win, Video Goes Viral

A video went viral on the internet in which Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra can be seen bowing down to World Cup-winning side after their historic win in the maiden edition of the Junior T20 World Cup.

Shafali Verma-led India U-19 cricket team scripted history by defeating England U-19 women's team in the inaugural edition of Under-19 Women's Cricket World Cup final, Sunday. India won the toss and elected to bowl first, after which they bowled out England for 68 runs in 17.1 overs and chased down the target with ease in just 14 overs to beat their opponents by 7 wickets in the summit clash at the Potchefstroom stadium, South Africa.

Meanwhile, a video went viral on the internet in which India's Olympic Gold Medal Winner Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra can be seen bowing down to the World Cup-winning side after their historic win in the maiden edition of the Junior T20 World Cup.

India's Titas Sadhu, who bagged 2 wickets for 6 runs in the final, was adjudged the player of the match. England captain Grace Servens was named the player of the tournament. The star English batter scored 293 runs in 7 matches and also took 9 wickets.

Prior to the U-19 World Cup final,  Neeraj Chopra had interacted with the Indian U-19 Women's Team on the eve of the summit clash against England.

Few minutes after India's title win, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah announced Rs 5 crore for the players and support staff. For the first time in women's cricket history, India won a World Cup title. Later in 2023, India will have two more opportunities to win the World Cup which includes T20 Women's World Cup and Men's ODI World Cup.
