One of such Virat's records is winning the most player of the match award in ODI format. He is second in the list of Indian players who have won the maximum player of the match award in ODIs. Rohit Sharma is the one who can break Virat's record.
Virat Kohli is at the third place in terms of winning the most player of the match awards in the ODI format, and at second place among Indian batters in the same list.
Sachin Tendulkar tops this list as the legend has won the Player of the Match award record 62 times, while Sanath Jayasuriya is in second place with 48 awards. Kohli is at number three in this matter. He has won 36 awards.
If we talk about T20 format, then Virat is at number one in the list of Indian players who have won maximum player of the match award. Kohli has played 95 T20 Internationals so far and during this time he won 12 Player of the Match awards. Afghanistan cricketer Mohammad Nabi is at the first place in this matter. He has won 13 awards off 86 T20I matches.
Indian players Rohit Sharma, Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez are jointly third in this matter. All these three players have won the Player of the Match award 11 times. Rohit can break Virat's record for winning most player of the match awards in T20 format.
