BCCI Announces Squad For England T20Is; Rahul Tewatia, Suryakumar Yadav And Ishan Kishan Earn Maiden Call Up

Ind vs Eng T20: After the Test series between India and England, Ind vs Eng T20 series will start in March. The five-match T20 series will be played in Ahmedabad, and will start on March 12.

BCCI on Friday announced a solid 19-man squad for the five-match T20 series against England, starting next month. Young sensational players Suryakumar Yadav, Rahul Tewatia and Ishan Kishan have been finally rewarded for their brilliant performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

The trio of young cricketers have secured a break into the national squad for the first time. Apart from these players, senior paceman Bhuvneshwar Kumar has also returned after recovering from injury, while fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the series.

After the Test series between India and England, Ind vs Eng T20 series will start in the month of March. The five-match T20 series will be played in Ahmedabad, and will start on March 12.

Keeping in mind the T20 World Cup to be held later this year in India, some new players have also got a place in the T20 team.

India's T20I squad: Virat Kohli (capt), Rohit Sharma (vc), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Yuzvendra Chahal, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Rahul Tewatia, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur.
