India At Top But Uncertainty Looms; England Out Of Race For World Test Championship Final

Ind vs Eng, Pink-ball Test: India is now almost certain to reach the WTC final. England has dropped to 64.1 percentage points and India now leads the table with 71 percentage points.

Ind vs Eng, Pink-ball Test: Virat Kohli-led team India defeated England by 10 wickets on just Day 2 of Ind vs Eng Ahmedabad Test to attain the top ranking in the ICC World Test Championship.

Hard-fought 66-run innings from Rohit Sharma and some great spin bowling from Axar Patel (5/32) and R Ashwin (4/48) helped India not only attain a memorable win over the visitors but also get England out of the race for a place in the final of the World Test Championship after losing the Pink-ball Test on Thursday.

On the other hand, India is now almost certain to reach the WTC final. On the World Test Championship points table, England has dropped to 64.1 percentage points and India now leads the table with 71 percentage points.

With 70 percentage points, New Zealand has secured a place in the World Test Championship finals. Indian cricket team now needs to either draw or win the last Test to stay ahead of Australia in the WTC points table.

The Australian cricket team is currently placed third in WTC points table with 69.2 percentage points.
