Virat Kohli's Classy Reply To Babar Azam's 'This Too Shall Pass' Tweet Goes Viral

One the eve of India's 3rd ODI against England, which is also the series decider, Virat Kohli responded to Babar's tweet writing, "Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best."

New Delhi: Former Team India captain Virat Kohli on Saturday replied to Pakistan skipper Babar Azam's tweet about his form. Babar had posted a heartwarming tweet for Kohli after he was dismissed for just 16 runs against England in second One-Day-International at Lord's. Virat has been facing a lot of criticism lately due to his dipping form in international cricket, with growing calls for his ouster from the India team. Virat's classy reply to Babar went viral in no time.

Babar had posted a tweet to back an under-fire Virat Kohli moments after his dismissal in 2nd ODI, writing, "This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli," - a tweet that garnered lots of reactions from cricket fraternity.

One the eve of India's 3rd ODI against England, which is also the series decider, Kohli responded to Babar's tweet writing, "Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best."

In a press conference ahead of Pakistan's Test series against Sri Lanka in Galle, Babar had opened up on why he tweeted in support of Kohli.

"As a player myself, I know you can go through such a phase (out of form) and I also know what a player goes through in such a phase. In those times, you need support. I just tweeted thinking that it will give just some support. He is one of the best players," Babar said during a press conference.

"He is playing a lot of cricket and he knows how to come out of these situations. It takes time, if you back players, it will be really good," he added.
