Virat Kohli in India vs Australia: Indian cricket team's star batter Virat Kohli, after regaining his form with a stellar performance in the Asia Cup 2022, is on the verge of breaking a few records ahead of T20 World Cup 2022 in October.  Virat Kohli ended his dry run in international cricket by making a solid comeback in the Asia Cup. He scored 276 runs in 5 matches at an average of 92 in the Asia Cup with help of his maiden T20 century and two half-centuries.

Before the T20 WC, India has to play a three-match T20 series against Australia and South Africa on home soil. India will play a T20 series against Australia, starting on 20th September.

Virat Kohli will be eyeing two big feats in India vs Australia Test series. In one record, he will be aiming to leapfrog coach Rahul Dravid, while in another record, he will try surpassing captain Rohit Sharma.

Virat Kohli is just 98 runs away from scoring 11000 runs in T20 cricket. If he scores 98 runs in Ind vs Aus T20 series, he will become the first Indian to do so. Kohli has so far scored 10902 runs in T20 cricket with an average of 40.37 and a strike rate has been 132.95.

Kohli has played 349 matches in T20 cricket so far. Rohit Sharma is second on the list of Indian batters with 10470 runs in T20 format.

Virat Kohli is currently fourth behind Chris Gayle (14562), Shoaib Malik (11893) and Kieron Pollard (11829) in terms of highest run scorer in T20 cricket.

Kohli aims to surpass Rahul Dravid's massive beating record!

Virat Kohli is at 7th position in the list of highest run scorers in international cricket with 2,4002 runs. If Kohli manages to score 207 runs in the upcoming series against Australia and South Africa, he will break Rahul Dravid's record to reach the 6th position. Dravid has 24208 runs in 509 matches in international cricket. On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 34357 runs.
