"There Is No Better Feeling..." Shami Posts Video Of Bowling In Team India's Nets Session

Picked up in all the three squads for the bilateral series against hosts Australia, Shami was pumped up on the fact of bowling for the Indian team in the nets after a long gap induced by the Covid-19 pandemic and shared a video on social media with a punchy caption.

With just under a fortnight left for Indian team's limited overs series against Australia, Virat-Kohli led Team India have got their preparations underway by taking to the nets and doing outdoor training sessions to get their fitness levels and skill sets in line ahead of the ODI leg of the all-format series, beginning November 27. Just like his team-mates, Indian pace spearhead Mohammed Shami also took to the nets on Sunday to roll over his arm and bowl a couple of deliveries. A long wait to bowl in the #TeamIndia nets finally ended today! Looking forward to our Australian tour," wrote an ecstatic Shami as caption for a video he posted on social media that showed him running in to bowl in the nets. Shami who had a great outing with KL Rahul-led Kings Eleven Punjab in the recently concluded IPL 2020 in UAE,  will look to replicate his wicket taking form while doning the Indian colours in the upcoming series against the 'Aussies'. Shami played an instrumental role in India's historic series win over Australia in their last tour as the seamer took 16 wickets in 4 Test series. An integral part of the Indian pace battery in all formats of the game, Shami has picked up 180 Test wickets at 27.36, 144 ODI wickets at 25.42 and 12 T20I wickets. Days after setting their foot Down Under, India had their second training session on Sunday which witnessed skipper Virat Kohli and batting mainstay Cheteshwar Pujara practicing slip catching and off-spinner R Ashwin and medium pacer T Natarajan getting bowling practice in the nets. India will kick off their tour of Australia with three ODIs and as many T20Is in Sydney and Canberra from November 27 to December 8 before taking on the 'Baggy Greens' in the first Test in Adelaide which will be day-night Test. The second Tests will be played in Melbourne (December 26-30), third at Sydney (January 7-11) and the last encounter at Brisbane (January 15-19).
