Watch: Rohit Sharma Sweats It Out In The Nets Ahead Of Ind vs Aus Sydney Test

During his quarantine in Sydney, Rohit could not train or do batting practice for 2 consecutive weeks, due to which the remaining days before the Sydney Test are very important for him.

The Indian cricket team is busy preparing for the last two matches of the four-match Test series against Australia. Rohit Sharma, who has been picked as the vice-captain of Team India for the Sydney and Brisbane Tests, was spotted putting in a lot of hard work for his comeback.

After winning the Melbourne Test, the Indian team is busy preparing for the Sydney Test with full enthusiasm. The success they attained in the second Test has strengthened Ajinkya Rahane-led men to defeat Australia on their home soil. Not only this, the return of veteran batsman Rohit Sharma has made team India stronger than ever.

The Mumbai Indians skipper started his training and practice to get match-ready as soon as he joined Team India in Melbourne on December 30 after completing his quarantine in Sydney. Rohit tried his hand at batting during the net session on the first day of 2021 and during this time he looked absolutely comfortable.

Team India's batting lineup may have looked weak due to the departure of regular skipper Virat Kohli after the Adelaide Test, but his absence did not make much difference in the Melbourne Test.

In Sydney, Rohit could not train or do batting practice for 2 consecutive weeks, due to which the remaining days before the Sydney Test are very important for him. Keeping this in mind, Rohit is spending most of his time in the nets. The BCCI posted a video on Friday in which Rohit was seen batting in the nets.

While facing the ball, Rohit did not appear to be in any trouble and was timing the ball well.

The return of Rohit Sharma will strengthen the team India's batting. The remaining two Tests against the Aussies are going to be very important for Rohit too, because after about 14 months, he will be playing for the first time. Rohit played his last Test match against Bangladesh in November 2019 in Kolkata. After this, he was supposed to play Test matches on the tour of New Zealand, but before that he got injured. After establishing himself as an opener of the Test team on Indian soil, this will be the first Test match for Rohit playing as an opener on foreign land.
