Bollywood Star Hails Rohit Sharma's Selfless Act For Cheteshwar Pujara In Ind-Aus Delhi Test
Cheteshwar Pujara not only remained unbeaten on 31 off 74 balls in his 100th Test but also managed to hit the winning runs for his side.
Bollywood superstar Ritesh Deshmukh took to Twitter to hail Rohit Sharma's selfless act for his teammate Cheteshwar Pujara in India vs Australia 2nd Test at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, Sunday.
Thanks to Rohit's sacrifice, Cheteshwar Pujara not only remained unbeaten on 31 off 74 balls in his 100th Test but also managed to hit the winning runs for his side. By the virtue of this win, India successfully retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 and took a 2-0 lead in the four-match Test series.
On Day 3 of IND vs AUS 2nd Test in Delhi, captain Rohit Sharma stitched a solid partnership with Pujara with India requiring 115 runs to win the match.
Their partnership ended when Rohit got out on 31 but the way he returned back to the pavilion won hearts of fans, including Ritesh Deshmukh.
While running between the wickets for quick runs, some confusion created a horrible mix-up between Pujara and Rohit, ensuring a run-out and dismissal of one of two batters. Rohit ensured Pujara's stay at crease by running towards the danger end and was eventually dismissed.

Speaking at the presser after India's 6-wicket win over Australia in Delhi, Rohit asserted that the team management will support ‘talented players' like KL Rahul.
“Of late, there has been a lot of talk about his batting. For us, as team management, we always look at the potential of any individual, not just KL. I was asked in the past about a lot of players. If a guy has potential, he will get an extended run. Not just KL. If you look at the couple of hundreds he got, especially at Lord's, batting on that damp pitch. Centurion was another win. Both came in India winning both games. That's the potential he has,” Rohit said in the press conference on Sunday.
