India's Pace-Bowling Department Suffers Another Injury Scare. Star Bowler Ruled Out Of 3rd T20I
Arshdeep Singh is the only bowler in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah who can bowl well in the death overs, but his sudden injury can add to the trouble for the Indian team.
India vs South Africa 3rd T20I: The Indian cricket team suffered a major setback in the form of Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022. The star pacer was also ruled out of the T20 series against South Africa due to his back injury. India's pace bowling department suffered another major setback before the last match of the ongoing three-match T20 series between India and South Africa, as captain Rohit Sharma revealed after winning the toss that Arshdeep Singh is not part of India's playing XI in 3rd T20I vs Proteas due to a back injury.
"We're going to field first. It's a very high scoring ground, I feel the pitch won't change a lot so nice to know what target is in front of us. Three changes for us, Kohli and KL are out, and Arshdeep misses out for some issues with his back. It is precautiounary, nothing serious. We've got Shreyas Iyer, Umesh Yadav and Siraj in. We want to keep challenging ourselves, keep improving and keep batting the same way," Rohit Sharma said during the toss presentation.
Captain Rohit Sharma wins the toss and elects to bowl first in the final T20I.
