Prithvi Shaw Shares Cryptic Post After Not Being Named In India Squad For SA ODIs

Prithvi Shaw did not name anyone in his post, but fans are linking it to him not getting a place in Team India. It seems Shaw is disappointed for not being able to make it to Indian team for SA ODIs.

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced the Indian squad for the upcoming India vs South Africa ODI series. Senior opener Shikhar Dhawan was named captain of the team, while Shreyas Iyer was picked as the vice-captain. The 16-member team named by BCCI includes Rajat Patidar and Mukesh Kumar, IPL stars like Shahbaz Ahmed and Rahul Tripathi have also got a place. One big name of a star youngster was missing from the team -- Prithvi Shaw. Shortly after the announcement of Indian squad for South Africa ODIs, Prithvi Shaw posted a story on his Instagram, which is becoming quite viral on social media.

Prithvi Shaw did not name anyone in his post, but fans are linking it to him not getting a place in Team India. It seems Shaw is disappointed for not being able to make it to the Indian team for SA ODIs. The young batter played his last match for India in July 2021 against Sri Lanka.

Shaw is currently in excellent form, recently in the second unofficial ODI against New Zealand A, he played a brilliant innings of 77 runs with a quick half-century, while in the semi-finals of the Duleep Trophy 2022, he played a brilliant innings of 77 runs. Against him, Shaw scored 60 runs in the first innings and 140 runs in the second innings.
