Real Madrid Vs Bayern Munich: It was a yet another dramatic UEFA Champions League tie between the giants of the European football, as the semi-final foxture between the Real Madrid Vs Bayern Munich ended with a new controversy. Los Blancos have qualified for their 18th UCL final at the expense of Bavarians, as Carlo Ancelotti's men won the tie 4-3. The second leg foxture at the Santiago Bernabau saw lots of goals, few of them disallowed, but what caused the biggest outburst was the last-second equaliser of Matthijs De Ligt via a Thomas Muller header, which was ruled out for an offside.

The referee and the linesman committed their mistake and felt sorry for the call they made, but it won't matter now as Bayern Munich are out of the UCL 2023/24 and will end the season trophyless. In such situations, the play should go on and with the availability of VAR, referee should not blow the whistle in such tight situations, and in the image which has gone viral, Mazraoui seems to be in an onside position, and this has led to a huge outburst from fans who feel that Bayern Munich are yet again robbed against Real Madrid.

Matthijs De Ligt still praised the Los Blancos for their commitment and drive to come back in the tie and win it all, however, departing Bayern Munich manager was fuming and furious with the match officials and their dismal officiating during the fixture and said the following:

“To raise a flag in a situation like this, where you can never…never never be sure if that’s offside, to raise, to have the guts to raise the flag, in a situation like this is a huge… huge call, and it’s a wrong call. The referee has the chance, even if he sees that we win the second ball, and we win the rebound, and we get the shot in 5 seconds, he has a chance not to whistle, he takes the decision to whistle…. it’s against every rule, I’m sorry.”

“We accept we lost and it is what it is, just… uhm…. that would not have happened on the other side,” he added, taking a jibe at Real Madrid.
