Fans Ejected From Ageas Bowl For Hurling Racist Abuse At New Zealand's Players: Report
This is the second time this year when fans have been removed from a cricket stadium for hurling racist abuses during a Test match.
The International Council of Cricket (ICC) have launched an investigation into allegations of racist abuse of New Zealand team during the India vs New Zealand WTC Final 2021 at England's Southampton, after two fans were ejected from the Ageas Bowl on day 5 for allegedly hurling racist abuse at some of Kiwi players, ESPNCricinfo reported.
"We received reports of abuse directed at the New Zealand players," the ICC said in a media statement. "Our security team were able to identify the culprits and they were ejected from the ground. We will not tolerate any sort of abusive behaviour in cricket."
Before ICC takes any further action against the fans, the apex cricketing body is awaiting a report from the security team.

On the third day of India vs Australia Sydney Test, a big controversy had erupted after team India's fast bowlers Jasprit Burmah and Mohammed Siraj faced racial abuse from the crowd and after this, the Indian cricket team lodged its official complaint with match referee David Boon.
After India vs Australia, third day's play was over, Indian cricket team captain Ajinkya Rahane, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj were seen talking to Cricket Australia officials and match referees regarding the incident.
After the case of racial comments on Indian players, Australian fans were trolled fiercely on social media. Many fans had even demanded to cancel the tour of Australia.
