Zimbabwe all-rounder Sean Ervine has called it a quit from international cricket at the age of 35. He played five Tests and 42 ODIs his country. He smashed the only century of his career against India in 2004 and took 50 wickets for his nation across both formats.

Ervine announced his retirement on through a social media post. While hanging up his boots, he wrote, “Yesterday I made the biggest decision of my life. After 14 years of playing county cricket, I have decided to hang up my number 7 shirt.”

He played the last match of his career in 2004 against Bangladesh in Harare. Since then, he spent the bulk of his career playing county cricket for Hampshire in England. Recently he signed a short-term deal with Derbyshire after being deemed surplus to requirements at the county he had served for 14 years, before hanging up his cricket boots two weeks later.
