Following the grand Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 opening ceremony, the tournament opener will kick off with a match between defending champions Mumbai Indians, led by Indian T20 cricket captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals. 

Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz are the five teams participating in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023.
