Talking about the game, skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first against Pakistan in front of 120,000 fans on Saturday. India’s opener batter Shubman Gill returned to the Indian side and replaced Ishan Kishan who played in the first two games for India.
The Punjab-based batter missed out on playing the first two matches against Australia and Afghanistan due to dengue. Now that he is fully recovered, he cannot wait to ply his trade against the arch-rivals Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
"Cannot get bigger than this, fantastic atmosphere," India's skipper Rohit Sharma said at the toss as the home crowd cheered.
"Sure lot of us are going to experience something really extraordinary", Rohit added.
