World Cup 2019: PM Narendra Modi sends best wishes to Virat Kohli & Co
The Indian PM took to his social media account and wrote, “Thank you @imVkohli. Wishing you and the team the very best for the upcoming World Cup.”
After registering a record win in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his best wishes to Indian skipper Virat Kohli for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
Earlier, on Friday, Kohli congratulated PM Modi for the historic win. In reply, Modi thanked the Indian skipper, wishing him best for the much-awaited marquee event.
The Indian PM took to his social media account and wrote, “Thank you @imVkohli. Wishing you and the team the very best for the upcoming World Cup.”

While PM Modi is set for his 2nd term, the Indian cricket team is also gearing up for the World Cup 2019. Before they begin their campaign against South Africa on June 5, they will lock horns with Kane Williamson led New Zealand ina warm-up match on Saturday at the Kennington Oval in London. Meanwhile, India had a major blow as all-rounder Vijay Shankar sustained an injury during the practice session on Friday. While batting in the nets, all-rounder Vijay Shankar was hit in the forearm during a training session on Friday. After copping the blow, Shankar was then attended by the team physio.
