Will Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul Play IND vs ENG 3rd Test In Rajkot? All You Need To Know

The star duo of KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja are likely to return to India squad for IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot.

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: The upcoming third Test match between India and England is scheduled to take place in Rajkot, which happens to be star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's home ground. Jadeja is currently at Bengaluru's National Cricket Academy (NCA), recuperating from his injury. The all-rounder was sidelined from IND vs ENG 2nd Test due to a hamstring strain. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to announce India's squad for IND vs ENG remainig three Tests, either today or tomorrow, but prior to that, there's a significant update concerning Jadeja and KL Rahul.

Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul likely to play IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot

According to a report by the Indian Express citing BCCI officials, there's a strong likelihood that Ravindra Jadeja will be fit to play IND vs ENG 3rd Test, set to be held in Rajkot.

"All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also shown good progress after being sidelined with a hamstring injury. The team management is confident that he will be available to play at his home ground as well." BCCI official told the Indian Express.

According to the report, star keeper-batter KL Rahul, who like Jadeja was also absent from the second Test due to discomfort in his quadriceps, is expected to make a comeback in IND vs ENG 3rd Test.

Virat Kohli to miss IND vs ENG 3rd and 4th Test

Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli, who missed the first two Test matches between India and England due to personal reasons, will continue to be absent for the next two games as well. The report in Indian Express states that there has been no communication from Virat to the board regarding his return to the team.

The BCCI is expected to name India squad for the remaining three Tests of IND vs ENG five-match Test series, either today or tomorrow, excluding Virat Kohli. However, when and if the former India captain becomes available for selection, he will be included in the side.

Suspense on Jasprit Bumrah's availability for IND vs ENG 3rd Test

The selectors will consider Jasprit Bumrah's own input before deciding whether to include him in India squad for IND vs ENG 3rd Test match between India and England. It was reported that the premier pacer might be rested for Rajkot Test, keeping in mind the workload management.
