WATCH: Virat Kohli takes a one-hand stunner to remove Peter Handscomb
Peter Handscomb was left amazed while the Indians erupted in joy
India may have had a tough beginning against Australia on Friday morning in Perth but the way they bounced back in the 2nd session was quite phenomenal. The visitors remained wicketless in the morning but picked 3 scalps in the mid-session. Above all, the eye catcher of the day was Virat Kohi’s terrific catch at the slips to remove Peter Handscomb right after the tea break.
The incident happened in the 55th over when Ishant Sharma bowled a short one which Handscomb tried to steer over the slip cordon. Neither Handscomb nor the viewers had this idea that the Indian skipper, who was fielding at the second slip, would jump so high that he would end up taking an ultimate stunner.
The ball went at the pace of knots and Kohli leapt up, threw his right hand and plucked the ball form thin air. Handscomb was amazed but the Indians erupted in joy.

It was Ishant Sharma’s first wicket of the day while Handscomb ended up scoring 7 of 16 balls.
In the morning session, Australia defied a green-top wicket and made steady progress to reach 66-0 at lunch. The opening pair brought up their 50-partnership off 90 balls in the 15th over of the morning. After lunch, Indian bowlers struck thrice to dismantle the Aussie top-order.
