Virat Kohli Set For Landmark T20 Milestone In RCB vs DC Battle

With RCB set to lock horns against Delhi Capitals in their next IPL 2025 match, Virat Kohli is on the verge of scripting a unique T20 record.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are all set to take on Delhi Capitals in the 24th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Virat Kohli has enjoyed a strong start to the season, registering 164 runs in four matches at an average of 54.66 and a strike rate of 143.85, comprising two half-centuries.The former RCB captain has been in sublime touch since taking on the role of opener, consistently finding the boundary with remarkable ease.

Over the course of his IPL career, he has smashed 998 boundaries, comprising 720 fours and 278 sixes. Now, he stands just two hits away from becoming the first batter ever in the history of IPL to reach the milestone of 1,000 boundaries.

No other batter is close to Kohli, with Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner trailing behind with 920 and 899 boundaries, respectively, in their IPL careers. However, both players are unlikely to feature in the tournament again. Rohit Sharma, positioned fourth on the list, has amassed 885 boundaries to his name so far.
