Virat Kohli Receives Lord Hanuman Painting From Fan Amid Poor Test Form | WATCH

Fan Gifts Lord Hanuman Painting To Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli received a Lord Hanuman painting by a fan in Mumbai amid his poor form with the bat as India were clean-swept by New Zealand by 0-3 at home.

Fan Gifts Lord Hanuman Painting To Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli received a special gift from a fan ahead of his 36th birthday on November 5. The former India captain received a acrylic painting of Lord Hanuman from his fan during the recently-concluded third and final India vs New Zealand Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Notably, India lost the IND vs NZ series by 3-0, their first clean-sweep in a home Test series in over 20 years. On the other hand, Kohli’s poor Test form with the bat has continued as he could only manage 93 runs across six innings in the series.

A video of Virat Kohli has gone viral on social media, featuring Kohli interacting with a young fan, signing an autograph and posing for a photo together. What makes the video even more special is that the fan can be seen giving Kohli what looks like an acrylic painting of Lord Hanuman, which the Delhi-born cricketer accepts and poses with before signing the autograph.

Kohli Averages Below 25 In Last 10 Test Innings At Home

Kohli has been under scrutiny over the lack of his run-scoring ability in Tests for India recently. What highlights the issue even more so is that India experienced a historic series defeat, being clean-swept by New Zealand, marking their first-ever clean-sweep loss in a home Test series of three or more matches.

Notably, during India's home Test season, the 35-year-old scored only 192 runs in 10 innings, averaging 21.33, with just one half-century to his name.

The 3-0 defeat has dented India’s chances of qualifying for the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 final on their own terms. After the embarrassing loss, India now need to beat Australia 4-0 in the upcoming five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, starting from November 22. In case of failure to do so, India will have to rely on other teams’ results to go through for their third consecutive WTC final.
