India missing Virat Kohli: Commentator's rant amid IND vs ENG Ranchi Test goes viral
Virat Kohli missed playing the entire five-match India vs England Test series. Despite his absence, India finds itself in a favorable position in the series. Should India emerge victorious in the ongoing IND vs ENG 4th Test in Ranchi, they will clinch the series 3-1.
However, amid England's dominance over India in Ranchi Test, former cricketer and commentator Sanjy Manjrekar expressed that the Indian team seemed to lack the unparalleled energy that Virat Kohli typically brings to the outfield.
Batting first, England posted a total of 353 runs in their first innings. In reply, India lost 8 wickets for 253 runs, trailing the visiting side by 100 runs after 88.3 overs.
"Virat Kohli is one of those guys. If the fielders are quiet, he will get the crowd to back the players, and bring some energy. When he's out there, he just gets that intensity going. India are missing Virat Kohli. There is no one quite like him. He carries that energy," Manrjekar said on-air on day 2 of IND vs ENG 4th Test in Ranchi.
