India ODI Squad: Team India for the ODI series against England has been announced. Mohammed Siraj gets a place in the squad. Read to see who else has made the squad.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced it's squad for the upcoming ODI series against England. In a surprising move, Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna have been given a chance in the team.
India vs England ODI series is set to begin from 23 March 2021. The three-match series will be played in Pune's Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The decision of playing all the three matches at one single stadium comes amid the growing cases of corona in the country. Travelling during these unpreedented times is not a very feasible thing to do, thus all the matches are being played at oe single stadium only.
Here is the squad for the upcoming ODI series:
Virat Kohli (Capt), Rohit Sharma (vc), Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, Shreyas, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), KL Rahul (wk), Y Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Krunal Pandya, W Sundar, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Md. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur.
Medium pacer Prasidh Krishna and all-rounder Krunal Pandya have been given a chance in the team. The team is different from the one that is playing in the T20I series currently. Mohammed Siraj also makes way in the team based on his impressive performance in England and Australia series.
